1) Among the rehabilitation guides in the hostels for the mentally injured in the State of Israel (I don't know what the situation is in this field in other parts of the world) today there is an unbearable reality: it is a very difficult and demanding job, and people who are forced to work long hours for a meager salary.
This situation has several serious consequences:
1. Because of the difficult working conditions, the associations that operate sheltered housing services for the mentally injured find it very difficult to recruit skilled personnel for these positions, and very often have to hire unsuitable people for these positions. Of course, this has a direct impact on the patients.
2. The guides almost always come for very short periods and leave - which does not allow for a therapeutic sequence for many who are eager for it.
3. Because of the difficult working conditions, there is an influx into the private market - and every guide or instructor who has the opportunity goes to open a private clinic and leaves the job in an organization or association - and this causes an increasing privatization of the field of mental health in the State of Israel and the creation of a reality of medicine and treatment only for the rich.
I think there is room to improve the working conditions of the instructors, and this is both for their benefit, for the benefit of the patients, and of course also for the benefit of society as a whole.

In 2007 I joined the struggle of the disabled in Israel - and on 10 July 2018 as part of the movement "Nitgaber" - transparent disabled people.
As we know, due to the "Iron Swords" war, its consequences and damages, it is very possible that a decision will be made on extensive cuts in government offices.
One of the cuts in question is the cancellation of the linking of the allowances to the minimum wage in the economy - and it is clear that in the reality of price increases this will mean the erosion of the allowances and further worsening of the situation of the disabled population.
It should be noted that linking the allowances to the minimum wage in the economy was an achievement that the disabled organizations could claim after a persistent struggle that lasted for many years.
I think that in such a situation there is a necessity to find some kind of economic mechanism that will compensate the disabled community for the severe damage expected.
Do you have any ideas on how to do this?

The following is the story of my lawsuit against the newspaper "Israel Hayom":
At the beginning of February 2020, I worked in the distribution of the Israel Hayom newspaper - and I had to resign after only three days because my employers did not agree to allow me as a person with a physical disability to work in a yeshiva. After several consultations I made contact
with Lawyer Avi Sarosi whose office is in Tel Aviv and we filed a compensation claim against them.

To “The law for the right letting workers sit" Which was enacted by the former member of the Knesset(“Knesset”-the ISRAELI parliament) Shelly Yechimovich.
However, after the hearing on May 30, 2021 at the Jerusalem Regional Labor Court, another problem arose: in order to continue the process, the court required a signature on an affidavit. The lawyer's office was, as mentioned, in Tel Aviv - a city far from where I live (I live in the Kiryat Menachem neighborhood in Jerusalem) - and due to my physical disability I could not physically come to his office to sign the affidavit. All my attempts to draw their attention to the fact that at that time it was also possible to verify an affidavit remotely, and that due to my physical disability I simply cannot reach them to no avail - and the lawyer's office in question continued to insist that I do what I cannot, that is: physically reach them, and they did not agree in any way to allow the remote verification procedure - and this without giving any explanation or reasoning for their refusal. In this situation I had no choice and had to contact the ethics committee of Israel Bar Association and file a complaint against them in this matter - and as a result the lawyer in question resigned and stopped representing me in this case.
I would like to point out that I live on a very low income (disability allowance from the National Insurance Institute) - therefore my abilities regarding the payment of fees to lawyers are in any case extremely problematic.
In this situation, I applied for assistance to the Legal Aid Bureau in Jerusalem, as well as to the program "Schar mitzvah"("pro bono") of the Israel Bar Association. They also vehemently refused to try and help, and this is because of the 74,300 shekels that were at the time in a savings plan that my parents kept for me.
All my attempts to explain to them that this amount does not make me a "rich" person, that this is the amount that I have at my disposal until the end of my life, and that I am still a needy person who lives on a disability allowance from the National Insurance Institute, met with a wall in the form of very difficult opacity and ignorance. This created a very serious situation, in which I, as a citizen of the State of Israel, was denied the possibility of legal advice or representation on any issue - which, as we know, is a universal right that is not denied even to the most dangerous criminals or criminals.
Finally, in the last months of 2021 I found a private lawyer named Etty Tawil who agreed to continue my representation in the case - and after consulting with her it became clear that in view of a hostile position
of Judge Daniel Goldberg The discussion was supposed to continue in front of him regarding the issue I raised in my claim. It is better for me to reach a compromise outside the court. Therefore, the hearing of the evidence in the case that was supposed to take place on February 1, 2022 was canceled - and in its place, and as part of a compromise agreement it was determined that the Israel Hayom newspaper must compensate me in the amount of only 3000 shekels (a ridiculous amount considering the compensation amount of 78000 shekels stipulated by law).
The sad conclusion I am forced to come to is that it is very worthwhile for large corporations in the Israeli economy to break the law, and especially when on the other side is a person like me, whose ability to fight them is limited to the legal system alone, which, as you can see, prefers the interests of those powerful corporations over the legitimate compensation that is due to the person who has been harmed by them, and even over obeying the laws of the country itself.
These organizations can continue to trample on the most basic civil rights of any person in need or with a disability - because in any case there is no entity in the State of Israel that can come to their aid.
And there was also an institutionalized fraud here, because if I had known that this is how things are going in the court that violates the law, I would not have continued with this lawsuit in the first place.

the subject: Platform for the project.
Dear Madames/ Sirs.
I thought of the following idea of developing an application for people suffering from diseases accompanied by cognitive decline and dementia conditions such as Alzheimer's:
As we know, the patients with diseases whose main characteristic is cognitive decline (such as Alzheimer's or other diseases in which there is a state of dementia) gradually lose many abilities such as short-term memory or daily functioning that gradually deteriorates. The idea is to establish software, or a system that will be intended for people who are in this situation. The challenge is to include in such a system all the software or systems that the person uses - and through an artificial intelligence system the operating mechanism will become more and more simple to operate - depending on the user's situation, preferences and needs.
The purpose of the system is of course to enable people who are used to using a computer for various purposes and who are on the verge of dementia not to completely lose access to the systems they have been used to using for many years of their lives - and thus to some extent improve their quality of life, which is significantly impaired anyway as a result of the symptoms of the disease itself.
So much for the idea itself.
Although this is an idea I have thought about, I have nothing to do with dementia care in my personal life.
I would like to point out that in everything that concerns me personally, there are a number of things that should be taken into account:
I am not a professional in the field of programming, nor a professional in the fields of brain research, cognition or neurology - and for this reason I cannot accompany such a project step by step.
This is an idea I thought of - and except for providing the initial idea I will not be able to assist in any other phase of the project.
I live on a very low income - a disability allowance from the National Insurance Institute. Therefore, I have no ability to invest budgets in realizing the idea. What's more: due to the seriousness of my situation, even very high discounts simply won't help.
I live in the Kiryat Menachem neighborhood in Jerusalem, I don't have a car or a driver's license. Due to my health and financial situation, there is also no chance that I will be able to get a driver's license or buy a car in the future.
Therefore, my ability to get to consulting meetings in the offices of companies that are considerably far from my place of residence does not exist.
At this point I am unable to find a suitable internet platform from which to start such a project.
Therefore I would like to ask: Do you have an idea about the platform from which to start the project?
Of course, necessary conditions of the system are the possibility of flexibility and making changes based on insights on the fly, and also the possibility of sending orders and offering relevant parties to take part in the project.

8) As we know, there is sometimes a problem of disabled people having difficulty getting to public places for personal arrangements - if and when there is a need for it.
As of today (I am writing these words on Monday, December 23, 2024) there is not a single address in the State of Israel through which a disabled person can order various services directly to his home (such as: ordering a doctor to his home, ordering books to his home, ordering a pedicurist to his home, etc.) - and in any case where it is necessary to order a service to his home, the disabled person must open a new service call).
I think that there is definitely room to consider the establishment of an authority that will centralize all of this activity - and thus make it easier for disabled or disabled people and for them to be a single address for these cases.
