Many of us have been to a Summer music festival. They are the best of times. But some stand out in our memory. It could be because of their size, or maybe the artists performing. But it is hard to forget those with the most creativity - the crazy locations or stage sets. Here are a sample of some of the most amazing (or bizarre) Summer music festival stage sets. Although this festival has had many crazy stage sets, the set for its American festival is surely up there with the best. A gigantic castle made of playing cards with turrets and lights spanning 90 foot. Absolutely magical.
This amazing fairy tale forest light show used all sorts of weird and wonderful installations to make it stand out, from Steampunk architecture, Chinese masks, Indian mysticism and Soviet style graphics.
It would be hard to beat any festival with a stage set that involves at its centre a volcano that spits out fireworks. This one would capture anyone's imagination and never be forgotten
This long running event is famed for its out there installations with a post-modern - cyber punk feel deep in the Nevada desert. Coupled with the expansive location, it is truly memorable.
Known as the EDC and held at numerous locations this one is worth mentioning regardless of where you see it, but particularly, the event held at the Las Vegas Speedway is creative for its size, shape and scale.
