How many mothers help their off-spring develop intestinal fortitude by making them go to swim practice in spite of a serious fever?
Where else would she have gotten her good looks and *#@(# charm from?
Without me there wouldn't have been that Psycho-moment-shower incident, and doesn't everyone need at least one of those?
Because I tot her everything I no.
Greece. We'll always have Greece—her father would have given her Las Vegas.
Who signed her up for scuba-diving lessons when all her other friends were getting driving lessons?
Because I hardly ever embarrass her in public by telling stories--like the time she almost killed us—shortly after she'd finally received her learner's permit—by racing an ambulance across an intersection. (side note: she eventually earned her license.)
Because I still talk to and love and take care of Cliff—her childhood bear—preserving him for when she has a child of her own to love. And torture.
