The Maldives islands have made a daunting name for themselves when it comes to luxurious island accommodation and for containing an elite assortment of hotels the likes the world has never seen. Combined with breath-taking natural splendor and extravagant architectural design, the Maldives landscape is iconic and unique as much as it is picturesque.
This Maldives Resort is at the top of the list because it is strikingly unique, providing modern-day luxury blended with traditional architectural components. The Velassaru Maldives offers a range of water-villas perched over panoramic turquoise waters & which cover just over one hundred square feet. Housed within each villa is every modern day amenity you can think of, along with a few luxurious touches. Each villa contains an LCD-TV and DVD player with a home-theater system and internet access along with a vine-cellar and snorkeling equipment which are more exceptional touches. The entire sea-facing wall of every water villa can be opened up to get a full view of the ocean as well as an over-water terrace where you relax and dwell in the ambience of the glistening lagoon.
Our next resort’s water villas are roughly half the size of Velassaru and are much closer to the beach, but are still strikingly beautiful. Their water villas come in a range of two, the normal water villas and the Jacuzzi water villas. The former is a sixty square meter room suspended over the sea with an indoor bathroom and a whirlpool bathtub. There’s a small walk-way surrounding the room, but contained within are all the usual amenities one can expect from a five-star hotel. The Jacuzzi Water Villa is much more indulgent, containing a stairway leading into the sea, and a private Jacuzzi located underneath. The size of the villa is just under 100 square meters and contains a private jetty and sun-deck featuring chaise lounges and a shade area. The water villas additionally also contain open-air showers.
Halaveli’s Water Villas offer 100 square meters of floor space all the usual amenities such as high-definition television with satellite channels, free internet access, a mini-bar and a separate mini wine-cooler that houses additional tea and coffee making facilities, and 24-hour room service. The luxurious villas floating over a turquoise lagoon contain open-plan sleeping arrangements, a private deck, and of course a private plunge-pool.
Last but not least we have Maafushivaru’s water villas, which are sure to please every soul. These are the most individually private and isolated on our list, where each villa is accessible only by a private walk-way that is separate from the main-jetty. In addition to the stunning views and modern comforts the Maafushivaru water villas contain king-sized beds, flat-screen TV with DVD facility and the usual fare when it comes to hotel amenities. The villas feature a furnished wooden-deck as well as a sun-bathing area, where one can dwell in the ambience of breath-taking ocean sights surrounded by a variety of marine life. Should you wish to take a dip in the pristine waters of the surrounding seas, the villas come equipped with a stairway leading into the water. The bathrooms are fitted with rainfall showers and offer views of the ocean.
So if you wish to experience the full extent of what a vacation to the Maldives islands should be all about, be sure to choose wisely, and enjoy an adventure you’ll never forget.
