Top Attractions in Praslin – a beautiful journey

Praslin is such an impressive area. There are three things that you must not miss in Praslin. First, the beautiful beaches, a rare element should you visit the place. Second, coco de mer palm trees very much unique to Praslin. Third, their national bird. Of course travellers choose beautiful beaches as their first choice.

Anse Lazio Beach

The Anse Lazio beach is believed to be the topmost beach in the whole archipelago of Seychelles. When you visit there, you might feel as if it is one of the best beaches in the world. Visit there during the sunset, and experience the gradual sundown. That is of course perfect timing for snorkeling. Anse Lazio has a marked beauty with the palms and takamaka trees. Got a professional lens camera with you? Then fulfill all your desires at this beach.

Pearls and clams

Beach Bar Restaurant introduces you to pearl as well as clam. Apparently the clams here number into about 40,000. The pearl farm has a specialty as it is the first farm established in the whole Indian Ocean. Here you will get to see how black pearls, a rare element, are cultured. There are black pearl shops as well.

Casino des Iles

Seychelles is known for gaming. That said, Casino des Iles will offer you a first class nighttime activity. But you got to be above 18. And after 7 pm, you are not supposed to have sandals or shorts on.

Cote d’Or

Cote d’Or is another beauty in Praslin. The waters are quite safe so that you can snorkel without any qualm. Here you will find quite a lot of Seychelles Resorts such as Berjaya Praslin Resort. Hire a bicycle or a car and explore the whole area.

George Camille Art Gallery

This art gallery is home to various kinds of collages, silk paintings, pastel and pencil drawings, and watercolours exclusively from the George Camille Art Gallery. These paintings will narrate you the spirit and colour of Creole life and culture. You can take a painting or two as a souvenir.

Grand Anse Beach

Grand Anse is said to be the longest beach in Praslin. That said, the water is simply amazing. It is perfect for swimming, as the waters are warm. The beach sand, on the other hand, feels so soft for walking. But for that matter, you will find the place always crowded – the only negative factor about the place.

Le Dauphin

Le Dauphin is an open air restaurant – an ideal place for a good outing. The menu includes carpaccio, seafood gratin, and a yummy curry made of cinnamon and coconut milk. Cocktails are another item that you shall not overlook.

Vallée de Mai

Vallee de Mai has entered the UNESCO World Heritage sites list. And that has attracted a larger number of tourists to this nature reserve. This is where you get to see coco de mer palm. This is a palm that produces the largest nut. In look it reminds a female pelvis.
