NorCal Top Defensive Line Class of 2017

Here is our Top Class of 2017 Defensive Line in Northern California. This list will expand as the off-season moves on with additional film review, recruiting news and camp/combine performances. Please submit any players you would like us to review to battleprepwest@gmail.com. This list consists of players from CCS, NCS, SJS and Northern Sections.

On this list are defensive end types and interior defensive lineman.

We are starting with players that we project at the Division 1 (FBS) and (FCS) Levels

  • One of the top DE in nation
  • Speed, speed, speed
  • Unblockable off the edge, is coming for QB
  • Can flex out and play WR, an Offensive Threat.
  • Technically an Athlete
6'3, 300 Popo Aumuvae (St. Mary's of Stockton) SJS

Offers: Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, UCLA, Utah, Washington, San Diego St.

  • One of the Top DL on the West Coast
  • Moves really well and good frame
  • Can play either O or D Line
  • Great player
6'3, 228 De'Andre Morgan (Concord) NCS

  • Ball hawking Defensive End
  • Premium speed and nice size
  • Causes havoc off the edge
  • Versatile athlete who also plays TE on O

  • Good hands, knocks down balls in passing lanes

  • Awesome frame, lots of room for growth physically
6'0, 290 Joey DiMarco (Cardinal-Newman) NCS
  • Strong bull rush move, stops run in backfield often
  • Requires a double team in run game because of good size
  • Plays gaps well, good solo tackler
  • Uses hands extremely well to keep offensive players away from his body
