The Olathe Civic Theatre Association is an all-volunteer 501c3 organization producing theatre in Olathe since 1974. Performing in the Buddy Rogers Family Playhouse, OCTA produces five high-quality, engaging, and thought-provoking theatre productions a year.
Through the generosity of volunteers, season ticket holders, donors, city and community, in addition to a dedicated Board of Directors, OCTA has grown into one of the most successful and progressive community theaters in the entire Kansas City metropolitan area.
OCTA is the proud recipient of an ArtsKC Catalyst grant this year.

The Kansas City Automotive Museum showcases some of Kansas City's rich automotive history. With 28 historical reader boards and interactive displays, the museum features 30 cars that rotate every 4-6 months. Additionally, we have a drive-in area that is dedicated to the car club of the month.
In just five minutes from downtown Olathe (26235 West 135th Street) you can renew yourself in a haven where the air is fresh and the wildflowers flourish. The Prairie Center is a 300-acre tallgrass preserve and education site with trails winding through remnant and reestablished prairie and riparian woodlands.
The City of Olathe maintains a total of 22 miles of trail with additional trails maintained by Johnson County Parks & Recreation.

Kill Creek Park, opened in 2001, the park is easily accessible, and yet secluded. The park is located in western Johnson County between De Soto and Olathe. History: From September 1953 until March of 1954, for 17 months, a severe drought condition in Olathe forced water to be brought to the city by rail or truck. Olathe's primary source of water, the "Old" Olathe Lake (now called Cedar Lake) had become not more than a bed of silt.
The Kansas City Automotive Museum embraces the unique and diverse stories of Kansas City, while educating young and old, and celebrating the culture, artistry, industry and innovation of the automobile. Since opening, the Museum has become a recognized and popular establishment within the car community and has grown to be a meeting place for car enthusiasts, historians and visitors to Kansas City. The Museum rotates over 100 vehicles a year, and consistently showcases a collection of nearly 40 cars at any given time. In addition, the Museum hosts more than 30 community events throughout the year.
