Plasticut is an Australian owned & operated company providing plastic fabrication, repairs, design and engineering services. Proudly family-owned since 1978, Plasticut has earned a strong reputation for dependability, ingenuity, and high quality products. We operate from our large industrial premises in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, servicing local, interstate & international clients.

Polyethylene Plastic

Polyethylene plastics are some of the most common and most used materials in general production worldwide. It is used for a multitude of uses from bottles, food, and general packaging, to more industrial uses such as wear guides, rollers, bushes, chute liners and cutting boards.

Nylons Plastic

Nylon plastic is one of the most commonly used polymers. Today it can be found in high load bearings, wear pads, support and guide wheels, conveyor and tension rollers, wire rope sheaves, buffer, pads, gears to guitar strings, and many other applications.

Polypropylene Plastic

Polypropylene plastic is often used for reliable storage of liquids and foodstuffs. Given its great resistance to chemicals, impact and scratching combined with its resistance to moisture and oxygen permeation, polypropylene is one of the most used materials for keeping areas where food and liquid are being used or stored safe from contamination.

Pvc Plastic

Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) is a common plastic material that is largely used in the construction and electrical industries. Its main use is for piping as it is more effective that copper, iron, wood in pipe and pipeline construction and implementation – in fact there is probably a PVC pipe network running somewhere near you right at this moment!

Polycarbonate Plastic

Polycarbonate plastic is a popular replacement for applications where glass would often be used. Polycarbonate can also be coated to be used as bullet-resistance glass and has been used in banks, cars and fighter jets due to its similarity to glass as well as its intense durability after a coating has been applied.

Polyurethane Plastic

Polyurethane plastic is often used where high impact, high wear resistance and flexibility are required. Seals, gaskets, rigid insulation panels, elastomeric wheels and tyres, bushings, rollers and wear guides, are all often made from polyurethane.

Acetal Plastic

Acetal is a plastic material that is used where great stiffness and durability is required. Many precision machine gears and cogs are made from Acetal as they can handle the wear and tear, and are also not susceptible to corrosion.

Petp Plastic

PETP is a plastic product manufactured from proprietary resin grades and sometimes known as Ertalyte. If has low moisture absorption and is FDA approved. Ertalyte is extremely suitable for precision parts, is capable of sustaining high loads and is also easily machinable.

Ptfe (Polytetrafluoroethylene) Plastic

Polytetrafluoroethylene is best known by its commercial application, Teflon. PTFE handles high heat very well without changing its inherent physical properties. It also allows great movement with low friction resistance and is waterproof. As Teflon, PTFE is nowadays used as coating for most non-stick frypans.

Advanced Plastic Engineering & Services

Plasticut offers a wide range of advanced engineering plastics for use in the harshest and most extreme environments. This is the height of plastic engineering in terms of install-and-forget components that can handle exposure to acids, alkalis, mildew, chemicals, water, sunlight, fatigue, heavy wear and may be located in incredible inaccessible parts of machinery - such as underwater or within large machinery.

Acrylics Plastic

Acrylic is a common and popular plastic material used in a wide variety of applications. Acrylic has a great clarity and strength and is easy to mould. These properties make it perfect for articles such as display boxes, picture frames, signs, technical models, fascia panels, furniture, windows and skylights, lighting fixtures, lenses, aquariums, roof glazing, shopfitting displays, and many other goods.
