The OurStory program consists of a series of units designed by the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. Each unit helps children and adults enjoy exploring history together through the use of objects from the Museum's vast collections, quality children's literature, and engaging hands-on activities. Ideal for afterschool use, OurStory resources will allow students to think critically, to be creative, and to achieve academic standards both in and out of the classroom.
The MrNussbaum.com Westward Expansion section is one of the most comprehensive exhibits for kids on the entire internet. Check out the major sections on the 13 Colonies, Lewis and Clark, and the Emigrant Trails, along with all of the pieces that form the story of expansion.
