We've all heard of the impending Quarter Life Crisis (QLC). Many, many, many articles have go on about how its practically an inescapable stage in life that all face and that makes it so relatable. Lets be honest the having a QLC comes down to three things. Feeling old, feeling stuck and being broke. What if Yeezus prophesied in 2004 that leaving (going to) university sucks and we shoulda known better?
Lets put College Dropout to the test (heh thats kinda ironic).
Does this tick the boxes for a QLC?
Stuck:
"Cause ain't no tuition for having no ambition
And ain't no loans for sittin' your ass at home"
Old:
"You gotta do somethin' man, your ass is grown"
Broke:
"The second verse is for my dogs workin' 9 to 5 that still hustle

Kanye hits us will the real off the bat, encompassing the what the QLC is in only his second tract.
Verdict: No one has made drug dealing seem more like a career option that Kanye West.

The concept of school seems so secure
Sophomore, three yurrs, ain't picked a carurr

But she won't drop out, her parents will look at her funny"
No direct mention of how old you are going feel after you graduate :/
So I guess not the most depressing song on the album... unless your name is Alexis.
Verdict: I was just want to feel ballerific? Is that still a thing?

Once again, no mention of being old. Just about being broke, stuck and frustrated... yeah real optimistic stuff.
