Relief India Trust | Empowering the Girl Child Techniques

Over the centuries, the girl child has been held back deliberately from achieving her full potential. In most cases it has been attributed to archaic and misplaced traditions across the world. However, the time has come when we can no longer let this go on. The girl child is just as important as the boy child in society; in fact, women have been known to be the pillars of every household. As a trust, Relief India Trust is one that is highly dedicated to improving the life of the girl and ensuring she can reach her full potential just like the boy child in society.

Relief India Trust is working tirelessly to secure a future for the girl in India through the following ways;

Early childhood development programs
The notion of the girl being inferior to the boy is one that has been cultivated over the years from such that from such a young age girls in the society actually do believe this. To properly empower the girl, there is need to start at the base level. This is known as the early childhood development stage. The trust is trying to influence the mindset of the girl from this young age so that the girls can grow up knowing that they are equally important as boys. This is due to the fact that girls from this young age start developing technical, cognitive and behavioral skills that guarantee them a high level of productivity from the education they’ll receive.

Empowerment by education
Most of the world’s population lives in poverty and due to this there is a gap that is created between the boy child and the girl as most families prefer to have the boy proceeding with their studies while the girl child remains behind. It’s due to this fact that the Relief India Trust has decided to intervene and try to change the situation by allocating funds to sponsor girls that are not able to pay their school tuition. Through this the trust hopes to close the gap between the girl and the boy education to bring it to equilibrium.
