Gospel Differences

Matthew 1 gives Jesus ancestry from Abraham down to Jesus, making note of 14 generations from Abraham to David, from David to exile, and from exile to Jesus. It points out Tamar, Uriah's wife, Ruth, and Rahab in the line too.

Luke 3 gives geneology from Jesus up thru Adam.

These geneologies share Joseph as the lineage builder, but Matthew says, "Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus." Luke has "he was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph"

From Joseph thru David, these geneologies don't share the same names, from Joseph's dad, Jacob/Heli, up to David's son Nathan/Solomon.

Could these just jave been different names they went by or are these referring to different people? If so, are these estimations instead of clear lineages? From David up thru Abraham, the geneologies agree.
