Of course it's fun to be creepy and scary on Halloween, but sometimes it's more eye catching to make something sweet. Here are 10 Halloween DIY crafts for those who appreciate the cuter side of things.
"The fact that the word pumpkin has a practically BUILT IN pun in it occurred to me this year and we just HAD to make some DIY pun-kins. PUNKINS! Oh man, it's like all my dreams came true. We mustered up our best Halloween puns and slapped 'em on a pumpkin using..."
Painting over letter shaped stickers works really well. Just paint over and peel off for a stencil graffiti effect. You can find them at the dollar store. Hand painting is also an option!
"It's been four years now since I designed this adorable not-so-scary Scarecrow who is perfect for the fall, Halloween, or as your little friend from favourite movies and musicals (think Wizard of Oz and Wicked)! Whether this little guy helps decorate your house or accompanies your little ones as they trick-or-treat, he is sure to bring a smile to people's faces!"
"When I started this series, I sketched out several hot pads for different holidays and seasons. It wasn't long before I had at least one or two options for each month, even more for some. It hasn't been too difficult to decide which one I would make each time...until now."
"Yes, it's a crochet pumpkin cover! I received this Funkin the other day as part of the #12MonthsOfMartha program. It's been sitting in my living room whispering "What will you do with me?" all week. I have to say, I feel like I may have seen just about every possible..."
"WhichCRAFT anyone?! We are well into October, and I can't believe Halloween is only a few weeks away. Where did the time go? Oh I know, this heatwave we've been experiencing has fooled my into thinking it's still summer! I am the least prepared for the upcoming holidays than I've ever been before - omg don't panic!"
"Have you ever played with a funkin?? They are kind of fabulous. The people over at Martha Stewart sent me over one to decorate and the possibilities were endless. I am a "real pumpkin" girl but after playing around with these I am 100% on board with these fun fake pumpkins."
"What is Halloween without monsters?? Or should I say...monster candy buckets? These silly monsters are perfect as a treat bag (bucket) for any upcoming Halloween party, or something fun to give to the kids. They are incredibly simple to make and you can get so creative with each monster face."
"This DIY Metallic Glitter Frosted Pumpkin Tutorial is brought to you by Plaid Crafts and Blueprint Social. All opinions are my own. I get so excited when October rolls around. I'm a sucker for traditions and all of the hullabaloo that comes with each holiday."
"I made this pretty pink pumpkin pillow (say that 10 times fast) to send to my daughter for her new college dorm room using a Paint-A-Pillow kit. The best thing about using paint and stencils from No one ever said pumpkins can't be pink & blue and be sparkly with rhinestones, right?"
"Posted on You guys! My kids and I had so much fun making these adorably creepy felt Halloween finger puppets last week! I did learn one thing the hard way: If you are going to make a craft first so that you can take pictures, don't show your kids or they will lose all imagination."
Pop culture and all that ideology sitting in the blind spot. Also crafts.
