They say a lion is strong, but I say that his lioness is. The words "strong" and "independent" have a lot of essence behind them. If you think these words apply to you, then you would find yourself agreeing to these points below.
It is not a question of following the heart or the brain when they’re both a part of you anyway. Just follow your feelings and act on them.
“I’m not going to confirm myself to an imposed dress code” sounds alright because you know that your dress is really not the issue. But “I don’t like those people because they’re not cool” is downright unfair.
See the difference?
You will confirm the truth when you see the proof first hand for yourself. Else, gossip is just a bunch of pass-time stories to you.
We’re not talking about arrogance here although “chin up” can mean that, too.
You were betrayed, you lost someone very dear, you broke-up , you got fired from your job, but you still walk forward, looking forward bravely to the future that’s in store for you.
It takes guts to do everything in life. It’s not always about defying the bad things though, for even to do good things it takes a lot of guts.

So what if you wear non-matching socks? So what if you decide to not marry? So what if you’re not following the trend?
If speaking up your opinion makes you stand apart from the crowd, that’s okay, really.
We all cry and lost heart when we fall down, when we fail. But what sets “us” apart from “them” is our willpower, our thirst to try getting back on our feet again.
Failure teaches us many things that success doesn’t.
When you're strong and independent, you become open-minded, more willing to reach out to those who truly need help, to want to help other people become strong. While having courage is ingrained in strong people, being kind is a different world altogether.
