Explore your creativity through the timeless artform of mosaic design in a fun and collaborative atmosphere! In this two day intensive workshop you will learn all the basics to get you on your way to creating beautiful mosaics for your home and garden. Learn how to use glass, tiles, ceramics, rocks, shells, jewelry and other found objects to create one of a kind pieces. Design, composition, materials, substrates and adhesives, glass cutting and grouting will all be covered. At the end of the course you will have created two pieces of mosaic artwork. No prior art experience necessary.

Congratulations to our Pipefitting Graduates!
The Fast Start II pipefitting scholarship program at Galveston College graduated its first class on September 24, 2015. Eight students were awarded a full scholarship and the seven listed above successfully completed the course and received their NCCER Core certification. Students were offered interviews with local industries and many have already been offered positions.
The Fast Start II Pipefitting program is funded by the Texas Workforce Commission’s PetroChem Initiative. The next Pipefitting class will start January 20, 2016. If you are interested in applying for the spring pipefitting program, contact Allison Baker at 409-944-1344 or abaker@gc.edu.
