Emergency Assistance and Family Service Bureau

Provides a wide variety of assistance to individuals and families in need and is available on an as-needed basis. Assistance may be given in areas such as: utility assistance, clothing assistance, food/grocery store vouchers, rental/mortgage assistance, counseling, referrals, summer camps, and case management. Open 8:30am-4:00pm; Walk-In: 8:30am to 11:00am.

Fair Foods, Inc.

Recycles massive amounts of grocery-quality fresh food and high-grade building materials and bring them directly to the people who need it most. Two-Dollar-A-Bag program offered at sites in Dorchester, Mattapan, Roxbury, and the South End. Fair shoes program connects eligible recipients who have diabetes with free shoes.

Solutions at Work

Families can exchange clothes and toys as well as obtain diapers, car seats, and cribs. Solutions at Work provides interview-appropriate clothing for persons released from prison, going to court, or in job training programs. Quality affordable moving services (617-492-0300, ext. 1) and free refurbished computers are provided. Open to all.
