California Psychologists Continuing Education Information - California psychologists have a license renewal every two years with a birth date deadline. Thirty-six (36) continuing education hours are required to renew a license. Twenty-seven (27) hours are allowed from online courses or independent learning if APA approved. (75% independent learning - 9 hours must be live) California laws and ethics are required at each renewal.
