This beach is known for its big waves, making it quite popular amongst surfers. Spending the afternoon catching and surfing waves is surf to be a great way to spend the day. There are surf boards and body boards for rent, so you don't even have to worry about any equipment. Echo Beach is therefore a great place to visit if you are in the mood to ride some waves.

Canggu and Petitenget Beaches

Pura Petitenget

One of the most ancient and famous temples of Bali is Pura Petitenget. Made of red brick and sandstone, this fascinating Hindu temple is known for its unique architecture and cultural significance. The temple is home to many shrines and pavilions, which are visited by locals regularly. Within the temple complex is the smaller Masceti Ulun Tanjung Temple; which is visited by villagers and farmers who pray for protection from evil spirits. The temple is of particular importance during the 210 day Balinese calendar anniversaries, and is therefore well worth visiting during this period of time.
