Bar Marsella is one of the oldest bars in Barcelona and it is rumoured that Dali, Picasso, and even Gaudi used to gather at this bar for good company, drinks, and inspiration. Today Bar Marsella is popular amongst both locals and tourists.

Le Caelum (ciel en latin) est un salon de thé au charme historique. Entre ses belles pierres, se trouvaient les anciens bains juifs de la ville. Les formes douces et arrondies de sa cave voûtée, son éclairage à la bougie et la qualité de ses produits nous incitent à le classer dans le cercle de nos salons de thé préférés de Barcelone.

There is something comforting about the old-style marble-top tables, upon which you can sample simple but well-prepared dishes such as risotto or grilled tuna served with vegetables and ginger. Le Federal Café est un lieu très agréable pour prendre le petit-déjeuner. Et pour ne rien gâcher, la nourriture est excellente! Que vous soyez plutôt sucré ou salé, vous trouverez forcément quelque chose à votre goût parmi les oeufs à la florentine, les croque-monsieur réinventés avec un pain spécial, les cupcakes ou autres gâteaux maison.
Le Federal Café est également une excellente adresse pour bruncher! C’est possible dès l’ouverture et jusqu’à 13h en semaine, 16h le week-end. En revanche, il n’y a pas de menu brunch, vous choisissez à la carte ce qui vous intéresse.

Right on the edge of the Raval neighbourhood you will find Teresa Carles, an exceptional restaurant that specializes in vegetarian food. The menu consists of a wide variety of fresh and tasty dishes that are meat, dairy and gluten free, as well as ecologically friendly, including the wines.
Apart from delicious food, Teresa Carles is a perfect place to visit if you are looking for something new and different. The atmosphere is very pleasant, not to mention the interior with its warm lighting, wooden furniture, brick walls and modernist tiling.

The Plaça Sortidor, in Poble Sec, has several places to choose from, including the handsome El Sortidor restaurant. Its history dates back to 1908 when it supplied the ice for the rest of the neighbourhood. By the Forties, the Janiu family were serving vermut and anchovies, and as looks go, she’s still a cracker. The fridges are still there, right behind the bar, along with pretty stained glass windows, original Modernista wooden doors and marble tables lit by softly glowing lanterns. It’s a great place to take a date, but equally good for a menú, especially as this unseasonably warm October continues and you can sit out in the shade of the plane trees for lunch or dinner.
