(Telegraph) -- A freed French hostage held with David Haines has said one of his kidnappers took a perverse pleasure in torturing Syrian prisoners, and had boasted of how he had raped and killed a young mother before beheading her baby.

(Guardian) -- French customs agents have arrested an armed "jihadist" from northern France who is suspected of killing four people at the Brussels Jewish Museum, authorities announced on Sunday. The suspect, named as Mehdi Nemmouche from Roubaix, was arrested on Friday during a chance check by customs agents searching for illicit drugs at the main Marseille bus station.

BRUSSELS - An unidentified gunman opened fire on Saturday at the Jewish Museum in the center of Brussels, killing at least three people in what officials said appeared to have been an anti-Semitic attack. Belgium's interior minister, Joëlle Milquet, told RTL television that two women and a man were killed in the attack and a fourth person was seriously wounded.
