Venice has so many things to see, that one day is not enough to get a feel of this beautiful city. These are some of the things I like to see and do whenever I can make a trip to Venice.
First is off course the St Mark's Basilica
The charming island of Murano is famous for its Glassworks.
A must do thing is to take a gondola ride even if you have just one day in Venice.
Palazzo Ducale or The Doge's Palace is a palace built in Venetian Gothic style, and one of the main landmarks of the city of Venice.
Torcello Island is worth a visit for its amazing cathedral, which dates back to 639 A.D.
Dorsoduro is said to impart flavour of the 'real Venice'. It is also home to Accademia, Venice's most famous art gallery.
