Must See Places in Sepang – From Racetracks to so much More

Located 50 km from KL, Sepang is one region that attracts millions of visitors every year. Home to the famous Racing Circuit and many more attractions, there is plenty to see in this part of Malaysia

The F1 Circuit

The heart of Sepang's tourism industry, the F1 circuit is state of the art in every manner and annually hosts the Malaysian Grand Prix. It is this circuit that put Sepang on the map and to this day this attraction itself draws planeloads of visitors to this destination. Tickets are a bare minimum and if you are a F1 fan you are likely to spot a celebrity or 2 in this attraction in Sepang.

The Bagan Lalang

Quaint yet exotic, the Bagan Lalang is a strip of coastline that attracts nearly all of Sepang's visitors. Located a short drive away from Sepang city, the serenity of this beach is definitely one worth experiencing. Although for now it is the ideal picnic spot of Sepang there is plenty of development envisioned for this pristine coastline.

Putrajaya

Putrajaya is a district where most of Malaysia's government offices and palaces are located. With an array of buildings exquisitely architected, Putrajaya is a treasure-trove of concrete masterpieces. The best time to visit Putrajaya is after dark for the many grand structures are illuminated in a manner that reflects the grandeur of the buildings. For tourists, visiting Putrajaya provides a unique sightseeing experience.

The Mines Attraction

If you want to learn a little about a city developing for the better, pay a visit to the Mines Attraction in Sepang. Although at one time this site was the deepest open cut mine in the world, today it has been transformed into an internationally recognized resort hub complete with a five-star hotel, artificial beach, a lagoon, shopping centres and a family-orientated theme park called Mines Wonderland. Even if you are staying at any other Sepang Beach Resort such as the AVANI Sepang Goldcoast Resort, a visit to the Mines is an absolute must do.

The twin towers in Kuala Lumpur

The capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur from Sepang is just a bus ride away. So if KL is not in your agenda might as well take a quick tour from Sepang and explore the world of attractions that this city has in store. The biggest highlight of KL is the exquisite Petronas Twin towers. From the stunning views one can enjoy from the very top, to the popular city park at the foot of the buildings, there is so much for one to do in this amazing attraction itself. Shopaholics would love to know that the famous Suria shopping complex is located at the ground floor of the towers.

National Museum of Kuala Lumpur

A holiday in Malaysia in not quite complete without absorbing a little bit of this nation's history and culture. At the National Museum located a short distance from Sepang, you can learn everything you need to know about the yesteryears of this fantastic nation in addition to the cultures of the different races who call Malaysia there home.
