Bundoora Dam

Occupying pride of place 28km from the heart of Middlemount the captivating Bundoora Dam lies on Middlemounts' south-western fringes. Located in the area where Middlemount Road falls to Connection Road the Bundoora Dam is a stunning attraction on German Creek which was used for mining work in its heyday. The man-made attraction contains a whopping 10,000 litres of water and is regarded as Middlemount's own version of a splash centre. Perfect for activities such as swimming and water skilling the venue is also a hotspot for angling fanatics as the dam contains a host of marine species including Catfish, Redclaw Crayfish, Eel-Tailed Sleepy Cod and Saratoga. Spangled Perches and Golden Perches are also known to occupy the waters making it a veritable treasure trove for fishing enthusiasts.
