In anticipation for the upcoming 2015 SEMA show, here are the ten best Honda Fits of the 2014 SEMA Show. Honda's been busy this year, announcing the new Honda Civic Turbo after many months of new Honda Civic Si Turbo rumors and even spy shots on US soil.
There's been rumblings of a possible turbo Fit, although that may complicate matters to the new turbo Civic. The new Honda turbo VTEC engine is termed "Earth Dreams" and comes in several engine displacements, from 1.5 to the 2.0 liter turbo.
The 2014 show brought more than 60,000 domestic and international buyers to the Las Vegas Convention Center, so if you don't know how to maximize your SEMA show experience, try our guide.
What car are you looking forward to at the 2015 SEMA Show? Do you think one of these Honda Fits is too low or ranked too high?
Tjin ended up taking home the honors (above) with their flat green Honda Fit and extremely aggressive fender flares. Stunningly muted in person, the rim choice was awesome although the fender flares might be a tad much.
Slammed to the ground and in tune with today’s “flush” movement, the Tjin Honda Fit was definitely a crowd pleaser.
Understated exterior with an incredible engine build and attention to finish, Bisimoto is one of the leading new-gen Honda tuners.
At the heart of this clean hatch is a Turbonetics TNX-20 Turbo that pumps out 480 wheel horsepower. Running a custom spring and titanium retainer of his own design, Arias pistons, ARP headstuds, Deatschwerks 1000cc injectors, this Honda Fit was ready for the SEMA Show.
The JDM is strong in this one.
The Spoon Sports Honda Fit was a purpose built track machine, and looked incredible. Spoon parts included a custom air intake, and intake manifold as well as their all new Super Taikyu titanium exhaust.
Spoon's SEMA Show car wouldn't figure to lack brake and chassis upgrades, and it doesn't lack in this area at all. Spoon Sports four piston monoblock calipers, Full Spec dampers, and subframe upgrades keep this Fit heading where you point it.
Exterior Spoon upgrades also include exterior side view mirrors and a carbon kevlar roof panel that serves as a sunroof delete.
Double dipping for the 2014 SEMA Show, Bisimoto also built this Honda Fit Spec Car. Most interesting aspect of this car for me personally was the Bisimoto exhaust with a twin pulse chamber.
Buddy Club coilovers at each corner and 17x7.5-inch BuddyClub P1 racing wheels wrapped in Toyo R888 tires finished off this great Honda Fit.
The theme of the Kontrabrands 2015 Honda Fit was "Active Metropolitan Lifestyle" and they hit the nail right on the head.
TEIN Flex coilovers with the all new innovative EDFC Active Pro electronic dampening system set the stance for this Honda Fit. SSR Professor SP1 wheels at each corner wrapped in 215/35R18 Falken FK453 tires.
Peeking behind those sexy Professors, Wilwood Forged Dynalite front brakes with four-piston calipers and 12.2-inch drilled and slotted rotors.
Interestingly unique and most certainly belonging at the SEMA Show, the MAD Industries 2015 Honda Fit can tote around a 2015 Honda Grom motorcycle painted to match.
Lots of styling cues set this Honda Fit apart, including a set of charcoal MGP brake caliper covers with a custom MAD logo.
19 inch Rotiform IND-T forged wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Nero 225/35ZR19 tires fill the wheel wells and the yellow jacket color combo worked well.
The turbo setup on this Honda Fit was flat out incredible. Fabricated by Fulltime Fabrication the custom turbo kit was built around a BorgWarner EFR6258.
Nitrous Express 4 Fogger Piranha direct port System and intercooler sprayer along with a 44mm Tial external wastegate and a custom ceramic coated exhaust system.
The XXR's didn't look that bad, and the color really set off the rest of the car.
Nestled in Honda's SEMA Boost, this HPD powered Honda Fit was a spartan race vehicle with minimalistic styling cues. Subtle and subdued, this HPD Honda Fit was all function, very little form.
Built as a platform for the aftermarket accessories available from Honda for the Honda Fit, the Fit EX had a host of visual and styling upgrades that improved the overall look of the car.
