In reality, while you could get stuck, you're never going to get dragged under completely. You're less dense than quicksand, so you can't sink unless you're holding heavy items or you struggle and make the quicksand liquify more.

Pour approximately 1/4 of the box (about 4 oz) of cornstarch into the mixing bowl and slowly add about 1/2 cup of water. Stir. Sometimes it is easier (and more fun!) to mix the cornstarch and water with your bare hands.
