Here are some of my favorite support champions.

My favorite support. He's hard to play but his flay and grab are an amazing combo that will help your ADC greatly. If you build him AP and not tank you can do tremendous damage and become the biggest threat to the enemy team.
Blitzcrank, personally i hate going up against a Blitzcrank all they do is pull you under turret then get you shot up in the air and killed. But thats what he's good for, being annoying but amazing at what he does.
Soraka is a champion that has a nice ultimate that can save your whole team. She can heal teammates using her own health and can recover her health by using her "Q". If your "W" hits multiple targets it can even mean winning a team fight.
Okay, sure this support got nerfed right before her ultimate skin came out but if played well she can become really strong as a support and as a damage dealing champ. Popular pick new skin, so why not?
Bard may not be the best of supports but if played properly he can really do work. Not only that but he's pretty fun to play with and he's new, and all you have to do is roam, and yeah that's pretty much it...
