The U.S. Navy is developing a new parachute that will bring skydivers to the ground slowly over a short jumping distance from a low-flying plane. The challenge is to determine which factors most affect how fast a parachute comes to the ground and make a recommendation to the navy for how to build a parachute that comes slowly to the ground over a short distance.

The design should demonstrate possible answers to the question: How is motion changed?

Many students come to school with their cell phones in their pockets every day, but they are not allowed to take them out at the risk of having their phones confiscated. Most school districts have a policy regarding student cell phone usage. Nearly 88% of schools around the country strictly forbid the use of cell phones during the school day.
