When staying in London, an area that attracts a lot of people is Euston not only for the local sites but for the Euston hotels and the restaurants. Just a casual stroll around the streets will make one hungry as scents of curry, coffee and other spices waft through the air. The myriad smells and number of restaurants can make one a bit overwhelmed.

The Foundry inside TheWesley hotel (one of the most stunning hotels in Euston) is a wonderful place for Afternoon Tea and of course don not forget to try mouthwatering dishes of Head Chef Gentian Ndreu. The Herb Crusted Beef filet, truffle mash potato, broccoli, confiy cherry tomatoes with red wine is tempting. The service is impeccable and the price is reasonable.

This restaurant, located near the Euston hotels, boasts some of the finest Mexican cuisine you will find in the area. From Pollo con Mole to Rajas con Crema Tacos, your mouth will be watering as soon as you open the door. This is most definitely not your fast food Mexican style restaurant. Offering Malaysian curry, this restaurant is known for its roti which is not to be missed. There are usually lines out the door, so you will be expected to order quickly, but the food is worth the wait. The rotis are light, buttery and flaky…the kind of crust that melts in your mouth. Though the décor is simple and the tables are usually filled, the food is inexpensive and the rotis are an experience that will leave you craving more.

Though the place is small, the African Kitchen Gallery is like taking a step into another country. Decorated in genuine African décor and filled with the unique and enticing smells of African and Caribbean food, you will find yourself transported to another world. The Curry Goat Stew, Sweet Potato Balls and Free Range Chicken Savanna (boiled and sautéed with fresh ginger and Seville orange) come highly recommended. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating and will try to meet your specific dietary needs. The end of the meal includes a bowl laden with flower petals to wash your hands. This restaurant is truly a unique treat in Euston!
