About 100 angry parents and students stood outside a school in Fort Rouge Saturday to protest a proposed school swap. The group gathered outside of Earl Grey School in the afternoon, one of two schools involved in the swap some parents say is unnecessary and would negatively impact their kids.
By Lesley Doell, French Language Consultant, French Language Resource Centre, Grande Prairie, Alberta In 2007 a school board in Canada requested that I compile research examining the differences between dual-track and single-track (immersion centre) French immersion programs in Canada.
Providing School Leadership for French Immersion The effective operation of a French immersion program in a dual-track school is much more difficult than in a single program school and provides a challenge to school administrators and to parents. However, with the collaboration of all partners, a dual-track school can provide an enriching experience for all participants.
