Holi is one of the most enjoyed festivals in India. It marks the death of Holika, the evil sister of demon king Hiranyakashipu. We celebrate Holi by smearing colours on our friend's and family's face in the spirit of Holi and distribute sweets. Here is a list of popular sweets prepared by hundreds of household across the country on this joyous occasion.

Thandai
Indian thandai (literally translated as 'something that cools') is a sweet, creamy milk drink flavored with nuts and mixed with spices. On Holi, the Indian festival of colors, the refreshment is traditionally served with the addition of bhaang (a derivative of marijuana). Here we've substituted gin instead, which accentuates the nutty, floral flavors in thandai perfectly.
