Countdown till holi has begun. Holi is a festival of colours and happiness and on this joyous occasion, people smear colour onto each other's faces and throw coloured water, playfully. While playing with colours is the best part of the festival, it can be at times very dangerous, in case you do not take precautions. There are some simple precautions that can be taken to play a safe holi which will go a long way in keeping you safe. Here is a list that will help you with it.

Rub a thick layer of non- stick oil or petroleum jelly around the exposed surfaces such as neck, face, hands and legs at least half an hour before rushing off to play. This will protect the harmful colours from damaging your skin which may result in prolems like abrasion, irritation, itching, dryness, pruritus and burning sensation.
