6 Cool Snow Shoes to Check Out. Snow is coming down on a regular basis in New England and elsewhere and has already broken many of the all-time records. Trying to clear the roof of snow while wading through hip level snow in the garden/yard is no mean feat. And this is not even talking about balancing the 24 foot long snow rake while in the unstable environment of the 2-3 feet deep snow. So my solution is to get some snow shoes and give me more stability while "walking" around the house on the snow to clear the roofs.
