This month brings hope for the new year... for 11 days. Then it's just cold for 2 more months.
12
February
at least it's only 28 days. Hopefully the Super Bowl doesn't suck. At least your bound to catch Groundhog Day on tv.
2
March
Adios winter! This is the month that gives you hope. 40 degree weather feels like 70 degree weather. You can go outside without immediately freezing. You actually start to see color again. Daylight savings kicks in.. or ends... I'm never sure which. Did I mention March Madness?
11
April
April is the middle child between March and May. Sorry middle children. Not even Easter can save this month.
4
May
Beautiful month. Warm but not hot weather finally arrives. As a kid, this was the last real month of the school year. Memorial day. Need I say more?
8
June
Fresh out of school. The first part of the month isn't unbelievably hot. The longest day of the year happens in this month. Little league dreams start... before they're crushed.
6
July
Yes, this month is hot as hell. But as a kid, it was also the one full month of summer vacation (because we started in August in the olden days). It's bright out until 9:00. 4th of July and fireworks help make this month great.
7
August
Still hot but getting better. Schools approaching but still alot of time left. Football practices are starting. It shares a border with the best month.
1
September
What a great month! The hot, hot days of summer are over but it's still warm enough not to need long sleeves. The sun is still out fairly late. You can open the windows and shut off the a/c. Did I mention football starts?
3
October
Not quite as awesome as September but still keeping some of those same qualities that made September great. I can practically smell the bonfires right now. Bales of hay, costumes... this month has it all.
5
November
This month should probably be much lower but that's the boost you get when you're the month that contains Thanksgiving which is far and away the best holiday (that will be part of another post). Plus, I love pumpkin.

December
These last 4 months are almost a wash but December has Christmas to give it some street cred. Also, at this point snow is still whimsical and magical and you don't dread waking up to a driveway full of it.
