My fave side salads

Here's a list of my favourite side salads to accompany a BBQ, grill or roast. They all offer heaps of colour (important for those phyto-nutrients), heaps of fibre and make your final meal balanced and delicious!

Bill's Green Bean Salad

Try this salad recipe by Aussie chef Bill Granger. A fresh and healthy green bean salad, made with tomato and parsley. I like that it takes no time to prepare.

Easy Green Side Salad

This versatile side salad makes a regular appearance in our household. Every salad is different as it depends on what's on hand. Spinach, goats cheese,

Side Salad from Weight Watchers

This is a great side salad to have with any meal. It's very quick and easy to make and uses commonly available ingredients. Serve it as an accompaniment to your dinner meal and it will help to boost your daily intake of healthy vegetables. Which help fill your stomach up so you don't reach for rich snacks AFTER dinner.

Easy Green Garden Salad

Here's an interesting crunchy saladwith a healthy mix of all my favourite vegetables. Plus there's a nice dressing which is - combine vinegar, mustard, salt and sugar in a small bowl. Whisk until well combined. Add oil to the vinegar mixture in a slow, steady stream, whisking. I'd use a small jar and shake the dressing by hand to combine. Otherwise it's perfect!

Garden Green Salad

I love the mixed salad leaves combined with the avocado, cucumber and capsicum. I would always have a few butter lettuce leaves as their flavour is super but here you've got endive, witlof and treviso as well! Plus there's a quick Balsamic vinaigrette, with oil, vinegar and garlic. Easy.

Chopped Green Salad

For those that like things small and chopped! You use iceberg lettuce, chopped, as the base and scatter over green onions, Lebanese cucumbers, avocados plus some mung bean sprouts. Nice one!
