Learning in the 21st Century

This video provides suggestions for changes that need to be made in our current educational system so that we are producing 21st Century Learners.

"Pay Attention" discusses how students today are digital learners. The video prompts teachers to evaluate their methods of teaching for student engagement.

"Teaching the 21st Century Learner" discusses the ways that educators need to change their thinking in order to reach our future learners.

Students in this video share personal reflections on how they use technology at home and in the classroom. This video is used to encourage viewers that students should have more of a personal stake in their learning, the types of assignment they complete, and the technology they choose to use.

"Rethinking Learning" encourages the incorporation of 21st Century Learner "skills" with the more formal settings we currently have in place. It stresses the importance of not choosing one method or another, but making the two meld together in a fashion that is most beneficial to all learners.

"A Vision of Students Today" identifies problems with the educational system from the perspective of students. Students in the video discuss their invested interest in their education or lack their of and the educational output they receive.

This video provides a visual definition of a 21st Century Learner by having students hold up informational cards. It also helps the viewer visualize who we are talking when we say "21st Century Learner."

21st Century Literacy provides and example/definition of what a 21st century learner looks like using text alone.

This video explores the differences between students we used to have and those that we need now. It also compares the personal benefits of students with few skills and lower education to those with more skills and a higher education.
