Bollywood Masala : Epic Fails Of 2014

2014 saw some good movies, some bad movies and then there were few completely intolerable movies. They not only failed all your expectations, they also make you wonder why they were ever made! Here is a list of such utter disappointments of 2014 in hindi cinema.
Humshakals (2014)
From the disaster movies like Housefull , Housefull 2 and Himmatwala, comes another "H" titled Humshakkals in which the definition of Story, Script and direction does not fit it. Sajid Khan dedicates the movie to likes of Jim Carrey in the beginning but at least you tend to laugh at Carry's crazy antics. In Humshakkals, you will wonder how amateurish can Sajid Khan get. Imagine a scene where there is a chain of slapping between Riteish, Saif , Ram Kapoor and Satish Shah with Shah quoting it as Slapstick Comedy. Editing is horrible. The torture goes on for almost 3 hours. Art direction is good. Cinematography is nice. Songs are pathetic. Among all the actors, Ram Kapoor gives an honest performance. Overall, avoid Humshakkals at any cost. Sajid Khan's movies had and never will work even if you uses "H" in his future movies. Garbage 1/5
Total Chaos (2014)
Everyone had high hopes with this move. With Ali zafar and yami and was expecting this movie to be super doooper hit. It starts well in the first 10 minutes after which you try to find out any funny scene to laugh, but there weren't enough to make this movie watchable. Sorry to say Ali, yaami n Anupam Kher all good actors but their talent was wasted in this movie.
Lekar Hum Deewana Dil (2014)
Well there are only two highlights of the movie which shines in this otherwise chaos is the cinematography by Laxman Utekar which captures right from the cool city life of Mumbai to the forests of Chattisgarh extremely well and beautifully. Second highlight is the music by A R Rahman, especially the peppy "Khalifa" and the ever so romantic "Allahada" which is written beautifully by Amitabh Bhattacharya. "Le Kar Hum Deewana Dil" is pointless and does not make any sense as it misses the soul completely.
Heropanti (2014)
No doubt HEROPANTI is just another average package of entertainment in a pure South style with all routine stuff. Still, it remains one step ahead than many careless entertainers such as R… RAJKUMAR. To give you a clear indication we earlier used to make HERO and now it has all gone down to HEROPANTI.
Happy New Year (2014)
I had expected a lot from this movie due to the cast it had and the publicity they did, but I had wasted my money, time and mind when I watched the movie. This movie has awful story. Comedy in the movie is nice. The vfx of the movie were nice, but the story could be made awesome, just due to story I gave the movie just one rating. I was not having a vehicle with me, I went with my family and I had to stay even after intermission. It is a hit just because of the cast and comedy ONLY. I actually had an headache after watching the movie. I don't know where is the old Sharukh who had made hits like Swades, Chak de India etc, where ever he is, I hope he comes back soon.
Bewakoofiyaan (2014)
Bewakoofiyaan is just a one-time watch. As the name suggests, it is quite stupid to give it an entertaining screenplay; fortunately, it doesn't go over-the-top. It could've been much better though, but since it fails to do, it is quite forgettable. But if you are looking for quite a fun timepass at the movies, Bewakoofiyaan is the film you're looking for.
The Xpose (2014)
THE XPOSE performs pretty badly as a murder mystery and can appeal only to the viewers who can easily relate with all the realistic events of the decades before the 90s
Roar (2014)
Shoddily scripted, listlessly directed, deplorable acted, and amateurishly assembled, "Roar" literally screams bad filmmaking and a lost opportunity of what had the potential to be an exciting creature-horror flick, with a plausible allegory thrown in. The tigers of the Sundarbans deserve a good film - one that showcases their legend in all its glory, and also succeeds in highlighting their current spate of problems. Hopefully, a talented Director will come along and undertake this responsibility someday.
Desi Kattey (2014)
With every required element of film-making at his disposal, Anand Kumar once again presents a clumsy film based on a well chosen plot which could have resulted in a much better product if conceived with a different vision.
Darr @ the Mall
These are few of the hundred horrible scenes I had to watch in the 2 hours of comic screenplay. Probably the worst thing about this haggardly titled film is that no one scene is shown for more than 3 seconds. As a result nothing makes sense. The cast performance is hopeless, not to mention how much expectations I had from Jimmy Shergill. With a story so commonplace, Darr @ The Mall is the worst this year. Last year's "Horror Story" scared me more. BOTTOM LINE: Not recommended!
