5 Signs your Spouse Could have a Pornography Addiction

Over the years, more research has been done about the serious risks of viewing pornography. If you are suspicious about a spouse or loved one of having a pornography addiction, here are some of the signs to look for. Whether you’re in Utah or New York, anyone can be at risk for these symptoms, so it’s important to keep your eyes open.

Loss of Interest in Sex

While many individuals see an increased interest in sexual intercourse upon the initial start of watching porn, as time goes on, many see a loss of interest. They prefer the buzz they get from porn and fantasy rather than the actual sexual action.

Change in Sexual Interests

As more pornographic images and videos are viewed, many spouses and partners look to act out the scenes in real life. If your partner’s sexual tastes suddenly change or they wish to participate in activities that are violent, this could be a sign of a pornography addiction.

Cleared Internet Browsing History

Often, people clear their Internet browser’s history in order to cover their pornographic tracks. If you consistently see your Internet history cleared, this could be a sign of a hidden addiction.

Spend an Increased Amount of Time Online

Those who are addicted to porn often spend an unusual amount of time online, especially at odd hours of the day. If your spouse is spending a large amount of time online or likes to be left alone while using the Internet, this could be a sign of a pornography addiction.

Emotionally Withdrawn

Pornography can have serious issues on the mental state of its addicts. They tend to lose interest in the real world and become desensitized. Often, they will have a hard time accessing normal emotions they once felt.
