Exam Fever! Stress! Panic attacks! Is that what you undergo when just a month is left for your ghostly examinations to show up in front of you? Here is a list that could help you coping up with your trouble.! Have a look.!
The teachers, who would have told you to study each and everything in the syllabus, throughout the session, all of a sudden, start telling you everything that is important from examination's point of view. It is very important to focus on what is told during last few months before exams. Attend all the class tests in that month. Not only does that help you have a cue of the question paper, but also helps you completing and revising your syllabus.
Its better to gain ground over what you've already studied, instead of starting a new topic. It helps you categorize your topics into what you know and what you don't. Perfecting what you already know builds your confidence and helps you focus on what you do not have any clue about.
Studying continuously for more than four hours doesn't only damage your memorizing power, but also harms you physically. Take proper breaks between each study session of two hours and relax your mind taking deep breaths or by taking a power nap. This would definitely open rooms in your brain so that you can memorize more things when you wake up.
It is a normal trend of almost all the exams, happening all across the globe, to repeat the questions or some specific type of questions, year after year. Identify the pattern of repetition and work on that. Don't just go through the papers. Set your timer, according to the test duration and try solving the papers as you would do in your final examinations. Remember, do this only when you are completely through with your syllabus, or else it would serve no purpose. Take it very seriously, and work on your speed.
Mostly students tend to skip their meals while studying, which disturbs their body functions a lot. If you think that you are moving towards an intelligent future by doing this, you are totally wrong. Neither your brain nor any other part of your body could survive only on knowledge you are acquiring through studies. your body needs proper nutrition. So stick on the balance diet, and then memorize things properly. That would help... For sure!
Syllabus Complete? Thinking of watching Television? Or wanna spend some time gossiping with your friends? Or maybe, feeling like playing video games?......Checking out social networking sites? Definitely do that... only if you want to spoil your chances of success. Instead spend some time talking to your parents, or taking a walk in a nearby park, or gardening for a while, or the best- Revise everything again and again. Listening to calm music might help relaxing your brain.
Limit the use of cell phone for those days when you are preparing. One might call a friend to ask a simple question, and end up talking for a very long duration, wasting a lot of time. Call when it is very urgent and hang up, as soon as, your problems are solved. Instead, reserve a specific time in your time-table in which you can clarify all your doubts that you've encountered throughout the day, by making a short phone call to your friend.
Instead of discussing the problems with someone sailing in the same boat as you, try seeking some expert guidance, that would include the help by your seniors, your teachers, and your topper classmates.
Reading each and everything written in the book is next to impossible, when all you are left with is a month to prepare. Rely on your notes. If you don't have them then manage to get them from your seniors, class topper, a friend who has already prepared those, or through internet. E-notes are very beneficial. Always keep this in mind-Everything is fair in love, war and exams! So, do not hesitate in asking for notes from anyone. Turn your enemies into friends, burying the hatchet, if you think they could be of any help.
