Favorite Elementary Art Lessons

Have you ever seen this book? There are several of these books and when I saw this book at the bookstore I immediately sat done and read through it. (Yes, in the children's section...I'm the type that doesn't look for a chair, the floor will do as I'm perusing the shelves).

These are the first of my year 4 Mondrian Square projects. I will be adding a bunch more pictures, but I was excited to show you some changes made this year. This year I wanted to get away from the rectangle frame... nothing like a stack of tea cups.

I'm currently on a brief hiatus from my after-school art students, so I don't have any new student artwork to share, but thought I'd re-post some images from oldie but goodie posts, for those of you who are newer to my blog. Today's selection was made because of the gloomy weather outside.
