This was a biggest film for Salman Khan, as this film marked the directorial debut of his good friend, producer Sajid Nadiadwala. The film also starred Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles. Kick received positive reviews from critics and was a commercial hit. Released on July 25, 2014, the film was a remake of the Telugu film of the same name starring Ravi Teja, Ileana D’Cruz, Shaam, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav, Sayaji Shinde, Jaya Prakash Reddy, and Ali.
Holiday, starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha was a remake of a Tamil Film Thuppakki. A.R Murugadoss directed both the movies. Holiday released on 6th June and received positive reviews and went on to be the biggest nett grosser of the first half of 2014.

The movie crossed the 100 crore mark, but still remained to be an average earner and was slammed by the critics.
One of the reasons why this film was special was the father-son duo David Dhawan and Varun Dhawan worked together for the first time. The movie also stared Ileana D’Cruz and Nargis Fakhri in the lead roles. The film was a remake of Telugu film Kandireega. Main Tera Hero released on April 4, 2014. The movie opened to mix reviews, but managed to be a hit at the box office.
Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha starrer Tevar is the remake of Telugu film Okkadu starring Mahesh Babu and Bhoomika Chawla. Tevar is set for release on January 9, 2014. With the buzz the movie is creating with its songs and dialogues, it seems to be a complete Bollywood masala entertainer.

Sonam’s Khoobsurat did not impress critics nor to the audience. The movie however did good business overseas. Directed by Shashanka Gosh and produced by Anil Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and Siddharth Roy Kapur, the movie released on 19 September 2014.
Siddharth Roy Kapur and Bejoy Nambiar produced this Hindi supernatural thriller, which starred new comers Akshay Oberoi, Parvathy Omanakuttan and Dipannita Sharma in the lead roles, while Arunoday Singh, Rajesh Sharma, Omkar Das Manikpuri and Sonali Sachdev played the supporting cast. The movie was a remake of a Tamil film of the same name. The film released on 18 July 2014 and did below average business at the box office.
