The Essential Gun Safe Checklist

There are many factors that go into buying a good gun safe. Forgetting one of these factors could result in a safe that is either not useful or ineffective. Following this checklist when looking for a gun safe is a great way to make sure all factors necessary for safety are qualities that the safe has.

Fireproof

Protecting from burglary is one thing, but protecting from natural disaster is another problem. Having the fireproof option assure the user that their content is safe even in times of disaster.

Warranty

Having a warranty is something every user has to weigh for themselves. Select companies offer a lifetime warranty to the original user. Since a safe is an investment, it is important to protect it and having a warranty is just one way to do that.

Locked

Locked

It goes without saying that a gun safe should lock. It should have a lock that is not easy to break and a code that is not easy to crack. A faulty lock can result in the loss of property, so look for this feature carefully.

Size

Size

Do not make the mistake of buying a small gun safe for lots of large items and on the flip side, do not buy a large safe to hold keys and papers.

Rating

Rating

Check on the ratings of the gun safe companies before purchasing. Oftentimes reviews will tell a client more than any website can.
