Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Receiving: Compare bill of ladings and packing lists with product received; Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages and correspond with Purchasing and Quality to rectify damages and shortages
• Inventory Management: Follow disciplined processes for inventory transactions to maintain inventory accuracy; Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory to maintain inventory accuracy; Notify management of any discrepancies and/or needed adjustments
• Assemble piece-parts into kits per pick list so they can be presented to next operation
• Print production orders and manufacturing prints for kits
• Move parts between work centers
• Cross train on shipping processes
• Safely operate a variety of vehicles used to load and unload shipments such as pallet jacks, forklift, skid steer, telehandler, pickup and trailer
• Continually observe and improve organization in all work

Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
• Experience working in a shipping/receiving or warehouse setting
• Knowledge of material handling equipment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of warehouse management software, SAP is a plus
• Active Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus
• Must be able to work as a team as well as being self-directed

Locate Technician | ELM Locating & Utility Services, Webster

ELM is seeking Locate Technicians to work in the Webster, SD area. Training will begin February 19th, 2018. As a Locate Technician, your primary responsibility will be to correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities including telecommunications, electric, gas. This will require that you manage your own daily route and schedule within certain parameters, and that you are committed to the high quality and accuracy of your work to ensure that clients and contractors can operate in complete safety, with full knowledge of the location of any underground utility lines they may encounter.

Your specific duties in this role will include:
• Searching for underground utilities and accurately marking the location
• Completing all necessary paperwork
• Maintaining daily contact with utility managers, crews, homeowners, and contractors, discussing locate issues
• Receiving daily jobs via computer/device
• Prioritizing daily work by going through all locate requests to determine routing
• Reading and understanding utility-provided maps to assist in identification of underground utilities
• Ensuring clients and contractors suffer no damages or injuries due to mis-located utilities
• Responding to emergency calls in a timely manner
• Working periodic weekend on-call rotation

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for Locate Technicians who combine a solid work ethic and the ability to self-manage with a firm commitment to safety. You must also be comfortable working in an outdoor setting, walking significant distances each day in all types of weather, and dealing with all manner of field hazards. It is also important that you have exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, and that you are able to interact with people in a friendly and professional manner.

Specific qualifications for the position include:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to bend/stoop/kneel/crawl
• Valid driver’s license with a good motor vehicle record
• Ability to efficiently manage your daily schedule
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility and temperament to adapt to sudden challenges and changing work conditions
• Willingness to change schedule at short notice to respond to emergency calls
• Availability for weekend on-call duty, as required

Requirements: Technician must be able to complete strenuous activities in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions and be able to work in and operate boats and outboard motors, maintain equipment, operate 4x4 vehicle with automatic and manual transmissions, maneuver boat trailers. Ability to communicate with the public. Knowledge of fish species identification, sampling gear, and basic computer operation is beneficial. Technician will be overtime eligible, but the normal work schedule will be 40 hours per week. Technician must be available to complete night and weekend work when requested and to accompany fisheries crew on overnight trips. Technician will receive pay for hours worked based on pay grade and be eligible for travel reimbursement when working away from home workstation, but not eligible for other compensation or benefits.
