Once again reprising his role as the movie’s narrator, Freeman depicts the character of a hardened convict “Red” Redding, who develops friendship with a new convict Andy Dufresne in a jail in Maine in 1947. The two characters make a real unlikely combination, but some how the chemistry between them works.
