Today was a sensorially challenging day. I am rambling now, I can feel the words just dribbling down without much cohesive control....
A date with Lucy is one of many beautiful chapters in the story about Dawn-joy’s evolving friendship with her greyhound Lucy. Lucy started as a foster dog, got to stay, became Dawn-joy's Mind Service Dog for adult autism, and is now the first service dog on the grounds of the University of New South Wales.
Our dogs Spirit* and Nala* are my third and fourth dogs, first dogs in Australia, and first ever rescue dogs.
