After a good dose of Penguins and a couple of strange looking fish, you will be introduced to Sea Horses. Sea horses are fascinating creatures not only to look at but also to learn about. At the aquarium you can absorb a couple of interesting facts about them like how it is their male species that gives birth to young and how they propel themselves by using a small fin on their back which flutters upto 35 times per second.
Next up is the reef world. The first component of this sector consists of freshwater fish which is interesting especially for those who enjoy rearing fish as a hobby. The other section has a number of rock pools where there are starfish, sponges and shark eggs all of which can be touched! The interaction is the highlight of this section and children in particular will love this experience. Another 2 interesting features of this section is the tiny baby long neck turtles and the freshwater shark tank which is the only one of its kind in the whole world. Both of these species are severely endangered and in need of some serious protection.
In a floor to ceiling coral atoll there is an interesting collection of jelly fish which includes varieties like the moon sea jellies and the box jellyfish. Perhaps the most fascinating attraction in the entire aquarium is the shark and Ray World.
