As part of the Concerned Black Men (CBM) National mission to serve youth and their families and strengthen our communities, CBM offers a variety of social services initiatives in community-based settings through the Organization's CBM Family Services Center.

NCBW/Community Services Fund Founded in 1984, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women/Community Services Fund develops programs around the program priorities of its sister organization, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women (NCBW). Those priorities are health, education and economic development, with leadership development and gender equity included as major components.

All Shades of Pink Inc.’s component programs create the Pink Signature Initiative.

The programs have been developed to assist individuals diagnosed with breast cancer, in addition to their families, to help address the stresses encountered in their journey to survivorship.

the devastating impact that breast cancer has in the African American community.

TheGrio.com is the first video-centric news community site devoted to providing African-Americans with stories and perspectives that appeal to them but are underrepresented in existing national news outlets. TheGrio features aggregated and original video packages, news articles, and blogs on topics from breaking news, politics, health, business, and entertainment, which concern its niche audience.

ColorOfChange.org exists to strengthen Black America's political voice. Our goal is to empower our members - Black Americans and our allies - to make government more responsive to the concerns of Black Americans and to bring about positive political and social change for everyone.

Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)/Prince George's County trains ordinary citizen volunteers who are empowered by the courts to provide best interest advocacy for over 150 abused and neglected children and youth each year. Every day, our volunteers are standing up for the children in our community, protecting their rights and helping them find their forever home. There are pictures of actual black people on the site. NO idea why this tool couldn't capture them.

Community Advocates for Family & Youth (CAFY) is a 501(c)(3) providing victim advocacy and support services, crisis intervention, and community education programs that address the causes and impacts of all types of violence and crime. Our mission is to help individuals, families and communities survive the trauma and receive the help and healing they need.

MVLS provides free (and in some cases low cost) legal representation to Marylanders with limited income. We also provide free legal help for community-based nonprofits that are working to strengthen low-income communities in Maryland. Each eligible individual client is matched with a volunteer lawyer who has the appropriate skills and expertise to provide quality representation.

The Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland, Inc., (PBRC) is the statewide coordinator of volunteer legal services. Our mission is to promote equal access to justice in Maryland by coordinating and supporting volunteer civil legal services, providing resources and support for legal advocated for the poor, and promoting cooperation within the legal community.

Throughout the 1990s, members of the Maryland Bench and Bar had become increasingly aware of issues and repercussions of unprofessional behavior by lawyers, which spurred the adoption of civility codes and, since 1992, a mandatory course in professionalism for all new admittees to the Maryland Bar.

*The Maryland Attorney General's Office has general charge, supervision and direction of the legal business of the State, acting as legal advisors and representatives of the major departments, various boards, commissions, officials and institutions of State Government.

The Attorney Grievance Commission was established in 1975 to oversee the discipline of Maryland lawyers and review the conduct of lawyers to determine the need for alternatives to discipline. The Attorney Grievance Commission also seeks to prevent the unauthorized practice of law.

The Women's Law Center serves as a leading voice for justice and fairness for women by advocating for the protection and expansion of women's rights
