We have offered a weekly extra-curricular activity at a local high school. The students watch and comment TEDTalks. They organized their own event at school, with all speakers aged 11 to 16 years old.
When we have an event coming up, we bring our TEDxJardins speakers as guests to visit the class and do a rehearsal at the school, with the students as audience.

TEDxJardins organized an event to help spread useful public health information regarding autism. TEDxJardins team organized a Salon event in partnership and with help of groups of Brazilian parents of children with autism (10 speakers) - This event was organized to benefit the community of parents who have autistic children, who are not well attended by public health care in Brazil.
In our first event, at the Museum of Image and Sound, we had technical problems right after Wellington Nogueira's talk (he is a very well known social entrepreneur, actor and clown who founded Doutores da Alegria, an NGO that trains clowns to visit kids in hospitals) - He immediately stood up and entertained the audience, and after everyone had laughed and had a great time with him, he said that when we face adversity we get to decide, whether we will face it with a smile or complain about it. It was one of the highlights of the day.
TEDxJardins is committed to give voice to social entrepreneurs and social business entrepreneurs in many different areas
