This Video list Southern Rock, country rock, country swing rock.
"If Your'e Feeling Down, Let It Soothe Ya; If You're Feeling Good, Let It Groove Ya!" Elvin Bishop -Travelin' Shoes This is one of my all-time favorite collections of music, the best amalgamation of funk, soul, blues, rock, and even a little gospel and country, you're likely to hear anywhere.
The Marshall Tucker Band's third album called "Where We All Belong" was originally a double album which consisted of a "Studio Album" and a "Live Album". Released in 1974, "Where We All Belong" left no question as to as to why these Spartanberg, South Carolina boys were fast becoming one of southern rocks best groups to emerge from the land of Dixie.
This band is just too good to be this obscure! Their brush with fame through the inclusion of Don't Bogart Me on the Easy Rider soundtrack didn't make this album the eagerly sought treasure it should be. In a year filled with brilliant albums (1968), this disc holds its own and ranks among that year's very best.
"Lost in the Ozone" by Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airman is one of the classic underground records of the late 60′s and early 70′s that while not enjoying "Top 10″ status, has remained a sense of notoriety. The irreverence of Commander Cody hides true musicianship as is heard on this album.
There is not much I can add to what other reviewers have said already about this great album. I have been a fan of early Byrds music (65-67) prior to the making of "Sweetheart". However, I had never heard the original album in it's entirety before purchasing this Legacy Edition.
Dwight Yoakam's album Under the Covers is in effect a direct parallel with Anne Lennox's album Medusa. Of course, Dwight has a Country background, so that's the spin he puts on this collection of these favorites from the past. Dwight really goes "out of his box" by trying, and succeeding in doing his interpretations of these oldy-goldies.
Little Feat -Dixie Chicken With Emmylou Harris & Bonnie Raitt Great Price for THE CLASSIC Studio Albums Little Feat -Dixie Chicken The price for these is unbeatable. The performance and the music itself solid in every way. The only essential item missing from your collection after purchasing this is the Deluxe Waiting for Columbus.
Commander Cody -Smoke, Smoke, Smoke (That Cigarette). An absolutely killer set of tunes by The Commander and the boys. By this stage of their run, the band had honed their chops to a fine edge and this collection was probably their high water mark as a band.
Stripped is yet another live album by the Stones, but it is very different from their previous live efforts. They play in an almost unplugged type setting, focusing on their acoustic based songs. Also, their are alot of album cuts from the Let It Bleed to Exile On Main Street period like the masterful "Dead Flowers", the great "Shine A Light" and the bluesy "Love In Vain".
These guys knew how to have a good time. You can just feel it in their music whether it was recorded, or even more so when they hit the live stage. In 1975, "Black Oak" came to my town to party. I was only fifteen then, and my Mama had this rule- "No Rock Concerts untill your sixteen."
Considering Arlo Guthrie's estrangement from modern record-making (especially for his former employer, Warner Brothers), "The Best of Arlo Guthrie" may be the only hits collection we get from this folk troubadour. Even so, it's a tidy best-of from someone often neglected today among Sixties folk's earth-movers (Dylan, Baez, Phil Ochs).
Dan Hicks-How Can I Miss You When You Won't Go Away There is certainly some country to the music. But there is also a bit of jazz, a dash of rock, a suggestion of folk, a twist of Texas swing with a touch of humour thrown in the music to give it a little extra flavor.
Yes, this was the Bee Gees 'white' album, only this doubled LP had a red velvet cover and a 'Titanic'-like illustration in the gatefold. Now available on a single CD, it marks the end of the sixties period for the Bee Gees. The music?
"Far Away Eyes," a song dismissed by a number of reviewers, is, to me, The Stones' brilliant satirical goof on both the generic country music style of the day and on media evangelists." - "craig_paul" Some Girls, The Rolling Stones' last great album, has just received the deluxe edition treatment.
A Classic On Everybody's List Rolling Stones -Country Honk There was only one version of Let It Bleed. This is it. It was released simultaneously in the UK and US on Dec 5, 1969.

This was a beautiful album when I first heard it in 1971. It is a beautiful CD when I listen to it today. Tapestry marked Carole King's transition from remarkable "Tin-Pan Alley' pop song-writer for the likes of Neil Sedaka, the Shirelles (who I think originally recorded Will You Love Me Tomorrow) and others to a singer/performer of the first rank.
"Yeah, I'd drive 10 hours to see Dan !!!" Dan Hicks and his Hot Licks -Evening BreezeThis review is from: Where's the Money? (Audio CD) And after being a fan for nearly twenty years I recently did! What a great experience to see Dan live.
Epitome of a "Nailed" performance...Live Perfection! Dan Hicks and his Hot Licks -I Feel Like SingingThis review is from: Where's the Money? (Audio CD) I absolutely agree with one of the reviewers above...this album definitely ranks among the top live performances ever recorded...anywhere.
"My favorite LPA alblum" Commander Cody -Everybody's Doin' It Now This review is from: We've Got a Live One Here (Audio CD) I have seen the Commander with and without the Lost Planet Airmen over many years... I own most of the titles listed here in Amazon, but this is by far the most bang for the buck.
Commander Cody -Seeds and Stems Again Blues- The situation of the sinder of this song is that all of the most terrible things in the world have fallen down onto him: he's lost his job, lost his girlfriend, his house has been repossessed and his dog has died.
This review is from: Live In Austin Texas (Audio CD) Back in the 1950′s and 1960′s it used to be called "Country and Western Music". Somewhere around the 1970′s or early 1980′s, the "western" part was dropped and it was all referred to as "Country Music".
Great upbeat country album. The Mavericks have wonderful harmony and rhythm performance. I consider them one of the best vocal groups in the last 25 years. By "The strongest Mavericks compilation yet" The Mavericks -Here Comes My Baby: Definitive Collection (Audio CD) This outstanding retrospective takes a look at the music of the Mavericks, an excellent pop-country group from Florida.
"Great introduction to the band" By Texas Tornados -Is Anybody Going to San Antone TEXAS TORNADOS are a TEX-MEX supergroup that I can remember playing in the jukebox when hanging at the local bars back home. Their songs are fun, lively and will get you dancing.
