We bought this for my son's 3rd birthday. He has been too small for most trikes we have tried, but since this one has an adjustable seat he can reach the pedals with no problem. It's great! My husband has a bad back so the steering handle on this is a lifesaver.

When you open a box, you get a first impression. The first thing I saw when I opened the box of this tricycle/stroller is the plastic "trunk." I thought, "Oh no. I hope this thing is not made of cheap plastic." My first impression was in error. Yes, the plastic "trunk" is made of relatively light plastic. The rest of the tricycle is either heavy duty plastic or welded steel. The entire tricycle feels solid and looks solid.

This is so reasonable in price and provides so much fun for so long. We gave it to my son when he was one year. He is two and still uses it every day. He can't do the pedals yet but he goes around the block on this propelling himself with his feet. Its extremely sturdy and balanced and is not prone to tipping. In fact, he has only fallen a couple times and that was when he got on or off and just didn't swing his leg over it far enough.

Whomever came up with the design of this riding toy is a genius. With the narrow rear end of this rider, there's no need for little ones to maintain their balance as they kick their leg over the seat. Simply hop upon the rider from behind. My son owns two other riding toys and the fisher price is easily the most stable one.

I'm glad I didn't read these reviews before we bought this for our son's 2nd birthday. He's had it a week and loves it! Yes, it's a bit unstable but duh! it's a bike! Of course it'll tip if you take corners too fast -- it's called physics. Didn't any of you have this as a child? I had one exactly like it and I loved it just as my son does now. With the seat in the lowest position he can reach the pedals with no problems. Why would anyone buy a bike that's too big for your kid? Don't give this a bad rating just because your child can't reach the pedals -- that's not the manufacturers fault!!
