En route between Sardinia and Liguria a pack of 12 striped dolphins (Stenella striata) followed us for approx. 20 minutes. The marvelous "meeting" occured 6 nautical miles West from Gorgona Islands and kept the crew's attention beyond the magic. Ocean cutter "Vento dell'Alba" sailed under gennaker with about 7 knots and crossed the section Capraia Island-La Spezia in 11 hours.

La Isla Gorgona es una isla de origen volcánico ubicada a 35 km al oeste de la costa pacífica colombiana. La isla tiene una longitud de 9 km por 2,5 km de anchura, con una extensión de unos 2600 ha aproximadamente de superficie terrestre o insular, y 61 687,5 ha de área marina.
